Which system (hi-fi or 5.1 home theater)is best for 18' x 13' room size with Sony 21" TV?


I would suggest 5.1 or even consider 6.1 or 7.1 surround… their dropping in price pretty quickly and they have been out for some time now… great surround for hd tv, standard and hd dvds as well as blue rays and all the current console video game systems.

  2. Only 5.1, more then that you will waste money.
    18'x13' room good for 5.1, Make sure you speakers are up in the corners of the rooms facing each other not you.

  3. 5.1. But i would use 7.1, 7.2, 9.1, or 9.2
