I want to buy the cheapest possible AV reciever of a good company for a 5.1 Home theater ?

Give me the possible devices
See what i really want is a audio splitter which takes an optical input and gives analogue output . I already have speakers and the Video Dose'nt Matter

Be more specific…what are you requirements?
Do you have speakers already?
What kind if so?
Do you want HDMI?
Do you require and sort of quality or do you just want something "cheap"?
Are you looking for a HTIB?

Good companies that have some less expensive models are: Denon, Marantz, Pioneer, Yamaha, Onkyo, Sherwood Newcastle, etc.

A good, but "inexpensive" receiver would be the Onkyo TX-SR506 (~$200). The 606 is much better though, but almost double the price.
